Vitamen A

Vitamen A or “Vitamin A” has been haunting the music scene since 1991. VA started out as a college band (Vitamin A) and changed many times until today. The core has stayed the same even though we did change the name to Vitamen in 2002 ( We have 2 albums as Vitamin A and one as Vitamen A.

VA toured the world, had a write up with picture in Billboard magazine, voted best band, best CD in the River Front Times and in 2009 we were voted best jam band! We are still enjoying playing music and having fun. VA is mostly original and a few tasty covers. We generally play what we feel like and we have no genre rules.

River Front Times coined the phrase neo-everything for VA and we think that sums us up well. You could hear a strong funk groove turn into a jazzy ballad and then a heavy crunch to a country, soul, pscycodelic, ska, porno, reggae, gospel tune! We are currently a 5 piece with a Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family stone type sound but not really (We just wanted to mention those bands because we love them). The core has stayed close through the years and through the future. VA has released 3 albums. Silence Vitamin A 1994 Perplexed Vitamin A 1996 History of heroes Vitamen A 2002 The Vitamen A album History of Heroes was recorded in downtown Festus MO! NEO EVERYTHING! Come see us and check out our music that is free on this site! We play the Midwest mainly now so ask your local clubs for VA to play! ORIGINAL MUSIC! Vitamen A uses SSP speaker cabinets!
